Letters To Linnea

Linnea has often said that Songs are like children that grow up, leave home and don’t write. We love to hear what you are doing with our music! Drop us a line and tell us how it is going. We might publish your letter in this section.

letters-to-linnea-004Jim and Jean Strathdee, on the final concert of their month-long stint at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, wrote this: "Guess what song we sang?" [O Great Earth, LGood]

letters-to-linnea-001We cycled through ‘Momentary Saints’ several times on the trip home to Sacramento...what a glorious piece of work. We were just grooving and humming along at first, then you got to “Fred” [Three Tenors]. Fred is so perfect...I laughed and cried. Then “it could have been enough” totally undid me. (I’m going to share “Fred” and “enough” with a dear friend... who is seriously struggling with cancer- I likely will play him the whole CD but these two are so right on). I loved “its a wonder” and by the time we got to “rivers of memory” there was no way I could see to read the words. This song was especially poignant because of the conversation about our “dry spells”. There is a sense in which we can be exiled from our very souls and need to find our way back home (to song, and our unique purpose for being here). I don’t say this to be “preachy” but just to let you know you are in our hearts as you walk this journey.

letters-to-linnea-002Thank you so much for letting me use your song [O Great Earth] in my powerpoint presentation on "Animals on the Edge". Everyone really liked it. And they liked your music. At the end of my presentation I passed around a globe and told people to think about one thing they could do to save the planet and help animals while they listened to your music. It is finally up on the website which is very exciting to me. And I hope they will see whose beautiful song it is because I put your name on the slide at the end. Thank you for your music.
